“Everything Music 2013: New York, New York,” marks the 36th year of a Fayette County tradition. The Fayette County Select Chorus show will incorporate singing, dancing, costumes, and sets to tell the story of a young person fulfilling a lifelong dream to hit it big on Broadway. An energetic show with an eclectic array of music, there will be something for everyone. You will hear new popular songs such as “Home” by Georgia native Phillip Phillips, “Already Gone” by Sugarland, and “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye. Many show tunes from various Broadway musicals will also be featured.
The show runs from May 3 to May 5 at Sams Auditorium. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on May 3 and 4 and at 3:30 p.m. on May 5. All shows are general admission; the doors open one half hour prior to the performance. Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the door will be $7. Tickets can be purchased from any Select Chorus student or in the Fayette County High School front office.
