Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville will offer a live simulcast from Richmond, Va., featuring Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer, Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include lunch. For information or to purchase tickets, call 770-461-5318.
“Priscilla Shirer Live,” will feature Shirer’s storytelling and Bible teaching. The simulcast will highlight lessons from Shirer’s newest bible study, “Gideon” coming May 2013.
A communications major in college, Shirer planned to be a TV news anchor—but says God had other ideas. While interning at a Christian radio station in Houston, she began to receive invitations to do Bible studies at small women’s events. At 18 she shared the simple truths of scripture that she was studying during her quiet time, and she’s been in full-time ministry ever since. Shirer says her desire is “to see women come to a full understanding of who they are in Christ by hearing the uncompromising truth of Scripture.”
