A Senoia family will try to prove they have the right stuff as they try to take down a family from Michigan on the “Family Feud” television game show that will be aired April 22.
The Pope family from Senoia will face off against the Parker Family from Lansing, Mich., in front of a live studio audience in Atlanta with the chance to win up to $100,000 and a brand new car, along with some serious bragging rights, said Family Feud spokesperson Megan Barker. The show airs Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m. on WUPA (The CW 69).
The Pope family includes: Sonia, an executive assistant; mother Susie, a nurse; aunt Terri, an office manager; cousin Janet, a nurse; and cousin Tresa, a business owner.
“We auditioned for ‘Family Feud’ for fun and excitement and we adore the fabulous host Steve Harvey,” said Sonia. “If we win we plan to use the money to help our family members that are in college.”
Barker said since Harvey took over as host of the show viewership has increased nearly 50 percent overall. Harvey brings down the house five days a week as he puts contestants on the spot and mines laughter from the crowd with every remark, gesture and eye-roll he makes, Barker said.
Barker said the Pope family began the process of securing their spot on the show by calling the Family Feud hotline at 323-762-8467 for an interview.
