The McIntosh boys soccer team kept its perfect season intact, on the heels of a big 2-0 win for the girls squad as they faced off Friday night in home matches against cross-town rival Starr’s Mill High School.

The girls lead it off with a tough battle the entire game, as it took nearly the entire half for the Lady Chiefs to break through with a goal by Gabby Seiler. McIntosh took that 1- 0 advantage into the half and built upon it with another Seiler goal on a direct kick with 22:26 left in the game for the game’s final 2-0 margin. Starr’s Mill manufactured quite a few scoring opportunities but was unable to capitalize in what is traditionally one of the best soccer games scheduled in the entire state of Georgia.

The boys’ game was a bit more lopsided as McIntosh took advantage of crisp passing and an early goal just two minutes in from Salomon Lorenzano. Just more than 20 minutes later, Vojtech Martinek knocked another one in to take a 2-0 lead for the Chiefs. The final goal came late in the second half from Chris Perez for the final score of 3-0.

The Chiefs have only given up one goal this season, and the dominating defense continued against the Panthers, who had trouble getting many flurries going.
