She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her two children, Natalie and Sean; her grandchildren, Annalise, Jazzmin, Sean, Jr. and Cierra; her nieces Candice and Stacy; extended family, many friends, colleagues and patients.

Carmen was born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised by her beloved grandparents, Lucy Francis and Joslyn O’Sullivan in James Mountain, Sligoville, St. Catherine.

Carmen was intelligent, ambitious, and enterprising. She graduated from Dinthill Technical High School. She later immigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from Lehman College. She also achieved a Master of Science in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University. Carmen graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Carmen loved being a podiatrist and operated successful podiatric practices. Upon moving to Georgia, Carmen opened Tyrone Podiatry – the Family Foot, Ankle, & Leg Clinic of Georgia, where she passionately continued to practice podiatry. Carmen was a member of the Lion’s Club International and Rotary International.

Carmen enjoyed laughing, cooking, traveling, swimming, and spending time with her family.

A private service was held in her memory.
