Celebrate the cosmos this winter with Peachtree City Library and the Coca-Cola Space Science Center from Columbus State University as they present the StarLab Mobile Planetarium on Saturday, March 2, at Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center.

StarLab is outfitted with a state of the art, full dome projector which allows the staff from Columbus State to bring the planetarium experience to Peachtree City. There will be twelve half-hour sessions for StarLab starting at noon and ending at 6 p.m. There is no fee, but tickets are required. Registration will begin on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. at the following website only:

The event is sponsored by Peachtree City Library, Inc. (Friends of the Peachtree City Library), a volunteer organization and a non-profit corporation [501(c)3] established in 1974 whose mission is to promote community support for the City’s Library.

The Friends of the Peachtree City Library is also sponsoring Family Stargazing Night on Saturday, February 9, at the new soccer field in Glenloch. Tickets for stargazing night “sold out” the same day that registration went live, so those interested in StarLab are encouraged to register early.

Only those with tickets will be admitted to StarLab on March 2. Ticketholders are asked to arrive ten to fifteen minutes before their scheduled time.
