Captain, USN (ret.) and Mrs. Richard Holloway of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Elisabeth, to John David Inman, Lieutenant, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Inman of Irmo, SC.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Col., USA (ret.) Ronald Ochis and the late Mrs. Elisabeth Prosser Ochis of Lawton, Okla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Holloway of Frankfort, Ind. She is a 2000 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2004 graduate of Catawba College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a minor in speech. She was commissioned in the US Navy after graduating Officer Candidate School in 2005.
After completing the Navy’s intelligence school, she served at multiple duty stations in Washington, DC and Oahu, Hawaii. She is currently transitioning into the intelligence reserves where she will support Naval intelligence activities worldwide.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Gloria Bagnal and the late Mr. Joe Bagnal of Sumter, S.C. and Mrs. Betty Inman and the late Mr. Robert Inman of Landrum, S.C.
He is a 2003 graduate of Chapin High School in Chapin, S.C. and a 2007 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in history.
Upon completing Naval Flight Officer Training in 2008 he reported to Patrol Squadron 47 in Oahu, Hawaii. He is currently a Student Naval Aviator in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The wedding will be June 7, 2013 at The William Aiken House in Charleston, S.C.
