A single vehicle accident on Jan. 9 along Brooks Woolsey Road in south Fayette County resulted in two of the vehicle’s occupants being hospitalized after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver is in stable condition while one of the two passengers is in critical condition after being ejected from the vehicle.
Preliminary information provided by Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Josh Shelton revealed that 20-year-old Fayetteville resident Chris Bogovich was driving south along Brooks Woolsey Road at an undetermined rate of speed at approximately 7 p.m. when he ran off the roadway, then over-corrected after bringing the vehicle back onto the road. The action caused the vehicle to roll over several times, Shelton said.
Shelton said one of the passengers, 18-year-old Taylor Moore, of Fayetteville, was ejected from the vehicle during the roll-over and is in critical condition at Grady Hospital.
Bogovich is in stable condition at Grady, Shelton said.
The second passenger, 18-year-old Fayetteville resident Timothy Griffin, left the scene of the accident on-foot, Shelton said.
