Students at Burch Elementary in Tyrone got a “crash” course in seat belt use, fire safety and a host of other safety tips Nov. 1 thanks to these fire safety clowns from the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services. In this skit, students learned about the necessity to buckle up and they also covered techniques including the creation of a fire evacuation plan at their own home along with the need to change batteries in smoke detectors every six months.
