Pastor John Fraser has accepted a call to serve as the senior pastor at Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. His first Sunday leading the congregation was Sept. 2.

Fraser has previously served Lutheran churches in both Karthaus, Pa. and Wilkesboro, N.C.

He received a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa. and his masters of divinity from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pa. Prior to his call to the ministry, he taught both high school and junior high mathematics.

Fraser and his wife, Cara, say they are very excited about the new position in Peachtree City and “look forward to the opportunities to serve the growing ministries of this active congregation.”

Fraser has been on an international mission trip to Brazil in addition to leading mission trips to Mexico, West Virginia, and Ohio. The Word of God congregation felt that Fraser’s background in promoting mission work and music uniquely qualified him to receive and accept the call to Word of God.

Word of God Lutheran Church organized as a congregation in 2010. It is affiliated with the NALC, North American Lutheran Church, and the LCMC, Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ.

Word of God is at 303 Kelly Drive, Suite 10, Peachtree City.
