Mrs. Rebecca Louise Vickery McDaniel died June 8, 2012 and is now with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Rebecca was born on August 23, 1928 in East Point, Georgia. She retired from The Hartford Insurance Group in 1988. She was a devoted Christian, mother, and grandmother. Jesus was her All and All, and her grandchildren were her life and joy.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray McDaniel; father, George Dewey Vickery and mother, Nellie Wallace Vickery; sister, Margaret Vickery Rigdon.
She is survived by her only child, Susan McDaniel Smith; beloved grandchildren Erica Chelsea Smith and Ian Vickery Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation took take place on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville. A funeral service was held at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, East Point, Ga.
