Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Edward Roberts of Fayetteville, Ga., announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Brooks, to Bryan Christopher Johnson, son of Mr. Ernest Brent Johnson and Ms. Starr Elizabeth Johnson of Evans, Georgia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frances Brooks Cown and the late John Mark Cown of Fayetteville, and the late Joe Turner and Mary Esther Roberts of Atlanta. She is a 2002 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2006 graduate of North Georgia College & State University. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Secondary Education from North Georgia, where she was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity.
Amy recently earned her Masters of Science in Education degree with a specialization in Integrating Technology in the classroom from Walden University.
Amy is a social studies teacher and dance team coach at Kelly Mill Middle School in Richland School District Two in Columbia, S.C.
The future groom is the grandson of Maryallice Rae Hill and the late Frederick Leonard Hill of Martinez, Ga., and John Johnson, Jr. and the late Cosby Lorene Johnson of Hobart, Ind. Bryan is a 2003 graduate of Lakeside High School in Evans, Ga., and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems and recently earned his Masters of Business Administration from Augusta State University.
He is employed as a senior financial analyst by Morris Communications Company in Augusta, Ga.
A July wedding is planned at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Georgian Terrace in Atlanta.
