Peachtree City officials are reminding proud parents of the rules for graduation banners and signs.
As long as the banners and signs meet the following criteria there is no need to get a sign permit from City Hall.
Up to two graduation banners are allowed at subdivision entrances for one month beginning May 1. They cannot be larger than 35 sq. ft. and cannot be taller than five feet.
Also, the banners must be attached to stakes in the ground, not fences, trees, utility poles, utility boxes or signs, officials said. Banners must be removed by June 12, officials said.
Graduation signs are limited to one per yard no more than five feet high and a total of 16 sq. ft. in size.
