Free Parenting classes begin next week at Brooks United Methodist

Brooks UMC will host a weekly Parenting Teens seminar on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning April 11 and continuing through May 9.

The church has partnered with the experienced psychotherapists of A New Start Counseling Center, Inc. to cover issues that are relevant for families in the community. Covered topics include teen sexuality, peer pressure, bullying, substance abuse, social media addictions, and family dynamics.

Located in Fayetteville, A New Start Counseling Center is the largest outpatient psychological counseling center in southern metropolitan Atlanta. They have served Fayette County since 1991. With 17 licensed psychologists, social workers, and counselors, A New Start has therapists who specialize in the entire lifespan — child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychotherapy.
