Fayetteville police are looking for two men involved in two recent car thefts from the parking lot of the Fayetteville Pavilion Walmart.

Police say the duo may be involved in additional auto thefts, and they are circulating a photo of one of the suspects who was caught on video surveillance at the Walmart store.

On Thursday, Jan. 12 just after 12:30 p.m., the suspects entered the parking lot in a dark colored Ford Explorer, backed the vehicle into a parking space and one suspect went inside the store, police said. That same suspect returned to the parking lot and stole a 1992 GMC Sierra truck, and both vehicles left the area, police said.

The next day, two men in a dark-colored large SUV, possibly a Chevy Tahoe, rode through the parking lot and stopped behind a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice that was parked in the parking lot, police said. Both men got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and approached the Caprice, as one entered the stolen vehicle and drove off while the other returned to the SUV, and both vehicles left the area.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Det. Todd Chitwood at 770-719-4224.
