Mr. and Mrs. James W. Wideman of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamila LaNell Wideman, to Eric Steven Frazier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Frazier, also of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Artis Johnson Sr. and Mrs. Annie L. Wideman of Decatur and the late James D. WIdeman. She is a 2000 graduate of Fayette County High School, a 2004 graduate of Mercer University and a 2008 graduate of Mercer University School of Law. She is currently working as a senior assistant solicitor with Clayton County.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mattie B. Rutland of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and the late Willie Paul Frazier Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willis Hill. He is a 2000 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2005 graduate of Auburn University. He is currently working as a project engineer with EMC2 Corporation in Duluth, Ga.

The wedding is planned for the summer of 2012.
