0Afton Moore and Nick Trevena have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is from Waycross and is the daughter of Tammy and Richard Hickson and Gene and Lynne Moore. She graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 2010 and currently teaches Pre-K in Blackshear.
The groom-elect is the son of Dr. Russell and Jennifer Trevena of Peachtree City. He attends the University of Georgia, where he is a senior cadet in UGA’s Army ROTC program and will commission as an officer in the U.S .Army when he graduates in May.
The wedding will be in May 2012 on family land in Blackshear.
