Divorce Care starts tonight at PTCUMC
DivorceCare is a weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. It’s a place where they can hear valuable information about ways to heal from the hurt of divorce. The new session will begin on Jan. 11 and will meet from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. weekly on Wednesday evenings at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson Rd.  Sessions will be held in Room 300. Wednesday activities resume at COS
All Wednesday ministries resume on Jan. 11 (tonight) at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran church: Music and The Master (elementary), Logos (middle school), and LOFT (high school). Wednesday is the date for a family dinner at 6 p.m., which includes all three groups, their families, and other congregants. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

FFBC to host GriefShare
Fayetteville First Baptist Church will host GriefShare, a 13-week support group for people who have lost a loved one and need some support, Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-8 p.m. There is no charge for the class but a workbook is available for $15.  Child care is available if needed. The class started Jan. 10 but new members are welcome any time. For more information, call Mary Ellen, 770-461-8378.

Take in a movie at PTC Christian
On Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m., PTC Christian Church will will show the movie, “Courageous” (PG-13), for the cost of $1 per person. There is also childcare available at the church (pizza, games and fun included) for a cost of $20 per family with three or more children; $15 per family with two children; and only $7 per family with one child.  All proceeds for the childcare goes to support Joshua’s Gift, a ministry to feed needy children in the area. Needham band to play at Dogwood
The Andy Needham Band, a Christian Rock Worship group from Boston, Mass., will play at the Dogwood Church in Tyrone  on Sunday morning, Jan, 15.  

Children to lead worship at COS
Children will take leading roles in worship at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Jan. 15. Shepherd’s Flock Singers will present an anthem at the three Sunday morning services (8:30, 10:50, 11). They will read scripture, and they are drawing the art for the cover of the worship folder. Candace Robichaux, director of Children and Family Ministries, is coordinating the preparations; she will offer the children’s sermon on Sunday. The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

PTCUMC to host parenting seminar
A free parenting seminar, “Raising Christ-Like Kids in a Crazy World,” featuring author and national speaker Jeff Reed will be held  Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. – noon at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 400 Windgate Rd., Peachtree City.  Free childcare will be provided.  For information or questions, contact Brian Loper, 770-487-6499.
