Young Professionals of Fayette County, YP Fayette, sports about 50 members. And some of those active members are on a softball team called Young Guns.
“It’s not just work or play,” said YP Fayette President Ellie White-Stevens. “We recognize that getting together and networking can take place on a softball field or in boardroom.”
The Young Guns ended their regular season third in the league and are currently in the playoffs. The team regulars this season have been: Emily Poole of Allan Vigil Ford, Julie Beshers of TCIS, Sarah Smith and Joyce Gaglione Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, Sheila Barnes of Minuteman Press, Christina Fountain of Dolce, Brittney Mitchell of Brit Brat Bakes, Eric Gaglione of the Georgia Aquarium, Chris Thompson of United Community Bank, Kyle Hurley of NCR, Rodney Allen of Excel, Michael Beshers of Chick-fil-a, Kyle Edwards of Peachtree City Eye Center, Landon Baize, and Hunter McFarland of Fayette County EMC. Minuteman Press of Peachtree City sponsored the team and their bright green t-shirts.
Team captain and Fayette Chamber Events Coordinator Sarah Smith explained, “We’ve had a dedicated, fun group of young professionals on our team this year.
YP Fayette provides networking opportunities and leadership development for those between ages 21 and 40 who live or work in Fayette County. Young Professionals connect through community outreach, social occasions and networking events.
The next couple of events on the calendar are:
• Mix & Mingle: Thursday, Oct. 13, 5:30-7 p.m., Green Ginger, Peachtree City
• Speaker N Latte: Wednesday, Oct. 26, 8:30-9:30 a.m., Fayette Chamber of Commerce
