Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Carlton Walker announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Katherine, to Alexander Reid Maggioni, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Anthony Maggioni.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2009 graduate of The University of Georgia with degrees in dietetics and nutrition science. She is a first lieutenant in the United States Army and a recent graduate of the U.S. Military-Baylor University Graduate Program earning her master’s in nutrition. She is completing her dietetic internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her next duty assignment will be at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash. where she will work as an Army dietitian at Madigan Army Medical Center.
The groom-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Benedictine Military High School in Savannah, a 2008 graduate of The University of Georgia with degrees in political science and religion, and a May 2011 graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala.
An October wedding is planned at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Savannah. The couple will honeymoon in Jamaica.
