Peachtree City Police are searching for an armed robber that held up the Pit Stop convenience store on Ga. Highway 54 and Petrol Point in Peachtree City during the nighttime hours Sept. 12. No one was injured in the robbery.
Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove said the Sept. 12 robbery occurred at approximately 11 p.m. when a subject described as a black male of approximately 20-25 years of age and 5’8”-5’10” in height and weighing 150 pounds entered the store.
Displaying a silver-colored revolver, the man held the gun toward the ceiling as he demanded the clerk to turn over the money in the cash register, Dove said, adding that Newport cigarettes were also stolen in the robbery.
Dove said the subject was reported wearing a gray long-sleeve thermal-style shirt, jeans, and what appeared to be a black t-shirt wrapped around his face and head. Witnesses also described the man has having a tattoo on his left hand and another next to his right eye, she said.
Dove said the man was seen leaving the store on foot though his direction of travel is unknown.
