Starting this Thursday morning (July 28), Crabapple Lane in north Peachtree City will be closed for several days so so a new sewer line and storm drain may be installed near the Peachtree City fire station.
The road is expected to reopen Monday afternoon, Aug. 1, city officials said. In the meantime, motorists heading to and from the neighborhoods of Maple Shade, Crabapple Woods, Leisure Trail, and homes and businesses off Crabapple Lane should plan to access Crabapple from Old Senoia Road.
The city will put up electric message boards tonight to give advance notice, along with detour signs, officials said.
