Peachtree City police have charged a Dawsonville man with second degree vehicular homicide relating to a crash in February that killed an East Point man.
Gene Lee Samples, 41, of Kilough Church Road was also charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and failure to maintain lane.
The Feb. 9 crash claimed the life of Thomas McGhee, 37, of East Point. The collision occurred shortly after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Ga. Highway 74 and Aberdeen Parkway.
McGhee was traveling south on Hwy. 74 at the time of the crash, and Samples was traveling north, police said.
The crash involved another vehicle, sending Michelle Lewis, 38, of Forest Park, to the hospital with injuries as well, police said.
