Mr. and Mrs. Stuart G. Wever of Melbourne, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Martina Brown, to Jonathan Michael Vickers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Vickers of Peachtree City.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Toups of Melbourne, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Stuart J. Wever of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla. She is a graduate of The University of West Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in marketing. She currently is employed by PepsiCo in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cockrell of Monticello, Ark., and Jim Poole, the late Helen Vickers Poole and Sherrell Vickers of Warren, Ark. He is a graduate of The University of West Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He currently is employed by Green Team Produce in Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Decatur. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Loganville.
