The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Monday for much of north and central Georgia, including Fayette and Coweta counties.
The tornado watch, issued at 1:30 p.m., also includes a wind advisory. Winds are expected to increase through the afternoon and begin decreasing after sunset. Sustained winds could reach 20-25 miles per hour with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.
