New Neighbors League Club of Peachtree City (NNLC) is proud to announce that Linda Hasluem has been named as their New Neighbor of the Year. She was awarded this honor for her dedication to the club, her volunteer work within it, and her service to the community.
Hasluem moved to Fayetteville from England in December of 2008, with her husband, Andrew, and their two daughters. She jumped right into club activities and became extremely involved. Her ready smile and quick wit made being around her so much fun. During her first two years as a NNLC member, she served as President with fun meetings, Pathways Editor with a new look to the newsletter, Publicity Chair getting many articles published, and Ways and Means Chair. Hasluem and her two daughters not only helped decorate the club’s “Peachtree City Five-0” Fourth of July entry in 2009 but also walked in it. Picture three Brits helping to celebrate the US independence from England. In addition, Hasluem did the publicity for NNLC Tinsel Trail and Garden Tour. She also served as the General Chair for the Garden Tour. She participates in many of the club’s activity groups including Craft Group, Let’s Eat Healthy, Matinee Madams, and Fun and Friendship Coffees, which she has also hosted. In the community, Hasluem volunteers as a parent helper at her daughter’s dance studio. She also volunteers at Whitewater High School in their Drama and Chorus Departments.
NNLC’s purpose is to bring newcomers to the area together so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. It is a not-for-profit social organization that has a wide variety of special interest groups.
