Shane and Linette Morelock of Fayetteville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Shannon Nicole Morelock, to Steven Scott Patterson, son of Steve and Teresa Patterson, also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Shirley Morelock and the late James Morelock of Fayetteville, Mrs. Ann Asinof of Fayetteville, and Harold and Pat Cox of Griffin. She is a 2005 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2010 graduate of Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Phyllis Wallace of Fayetteviile, the late Clinton Wallace of Lineville, Ala., and Mrs. Sally Chapman of Senoia. He is a 2007 graduate of Whitewater High School and will graduate from Georgia College and State University in May of 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in both political science and criminal justice. He also serves as a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and will receive a commission as a second lieutenant in early May of 2011.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Woolsey Baptist Church in Fayetteville, followed by a reception at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City. Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Senoia.
