Stop free benefits to illegal aliens in Ga.

Representative Matt Ramsey has been working with others in the Georgia General Assembly, including D.A. King of the Dustin Inman Society, and many concerned Georgians. I was delighted to read that the committee process will begin next week.

It is time to put a halt to the swarm on Georgia’s free benefits program to those who have crossed our borders unlawfully, thereby becoming criminals who kill jobs and put a $1.5 billion hole in the state’s economy during 2009.

Although the battle to create legislation in favor of the citizens is being waged with Jerry Gonzalez of GALEO, we have to keep up the pressure on our state representatives and senators to vote for Georgians.

The Farm Bureau will be just fine. It is important to know, although the Farm Bureau would rather we didn’t, that the long-standing H2A agricultural visa program provides entry for temporary foreign workers but it has no limitation on how many workers can enter and these workers’ pay rate must be the same as that of U.S. workers. Needless to say, they never leave and we lose.

Some representatives of Fayette County are Darryl Jordan, Virgil Fludd, and Matt Ramsey. Valencia Seay is a state senator for part of Fayette as is Ronnie Chance. If I’ve left anyone out it’s because I mainly keep up with my area.

Please call your representatives and let them know how you feel. The use of E Verify is on the rise as more employers are finding out it is free to use to check the immigration status of newly hired employees.
