Brooks-Dalrymple – engaged

Dr. and Mrs. C. Paschal Brooks of Arlington, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, LeeAnn Elizabeth, to Matthew Trigg Dalrymple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Trigg L. Dalrymple of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Brooks, Jr., of Colquitt and Mrs. Ann Newberry and the late Rev. Thomas Harlow Newberry Sr., of Arlington. She is a graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy in Damascus. She has completed a bachelor’s degree in sociology with minors in psychology and women’s studies and a master’s degree in teaching from LaGrange College. She currently is an elementary teacher at LaGrange Academy.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Floyd Dalrymple and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Bertrum Fulbright of Toccoa. He is a graduate of Fayette County High School, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in human services from LaGrange College. He currently is employed at LaGrange Academy as athletics director and head boys’ basketball coach.

An outdoor wedding is planned on Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Arlington. The couple will reside in LaGrange.
