Jesse Joseph McBride and Shannon Lynnette Edwards were married Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in a candlelight ceremony at Trinity Anglican Mission Church in Atlanta. Alex Early of Newnan officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Edwards of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Billie Crocker Edwards and the late Col. William W. Edwards of Macon, and Marian Massalon of Macon. She is a 2009 graduate of Georgia State University and is currently employed by a fabric company.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McBride of Peachtree City. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony McBride of Waterloo, Iowa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Saul of Cedar Falls, Iowa. He is currently employed by a construction company.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory strapless, sweetheart neckline shantung ball gown with custom lace design completed by a chapel train. She carried an heirloom prayer book with three roses.
Katie Visscher of Atlanta served as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carolee Edwards, the bride’s sister-in-law from Killeen, Texas, Cassidy Kretzu, sister of the groom, from Kathmandu, Nepal, and Ashley Wilson of Atlanta. The flower girls were JoJo Edwards, niece of the bride, and Milena Joy Kretzu, niece of the groom.
Sam Chimento of Atlanta served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Smith, Scottie Henry, and Clay Richie, all of Atlanta. Ushers were the groom’s brothers Casey McBride from Nashville and Jordan McBride of Atlanta, and friends, Heath Ladnier, Chris Day and Zach Conrad all of Atlanta.
A dinner and dance reception at the Art Space International followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. McBride honeymooned in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and now reside in Atlanta.
