The Summit tutoring program is a ministry that focuses on supporting, encouraging, and serving children in the community. The church offers free tutoring and homework help for children in elementary-high school, every Wednesday when school is in session. White Oak Presbyterian plans BBQ
The 27th Annual Fall Barbecue at White Oak Presbyterian Church will take place Saturday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. Perennial favorites, barbecue plates, quarts of Brunswick stew, and pounds of barbecue, will be $8 each. Proceeds support White Oak’s foreign and local missionaries and missions. White Oak Presbyterian is at 2796 Gordon Rd., near the intersection of Ga. Highway 54. just south of Turin in Coweta County.
Fred Overton Bible Conference is Oct. 3

Prophet Chambers Revival set for Oct. 8
Christ Discipleship Ministries, 114 W. Campbellton St., Fairburn, will host a Prophet Chambers Revival Friday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. All Nations health fair is Oct. 16
All Nations Church Atlanta will present is first 2010 Fall S.T.R.E.T.C.H. Fair Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the All Nations Church lot, 1381 Ga. Hwy. 85, Fayetteville. The event will feature sereenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and vision, with booths set up for information on cancer, cardiovascular health, diabetes, massage therapy, health and fitness, lung health and nutrition. Identity theft seminars planned
Identity theft seminars are planned at three area Lutheran churches in October: Christ Our Shepherd, Oct. 2; Prince of Peace, Oct. 13; and St. Paul, Oct. 17. The free 50-minute seminar sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will teach participants self-protection practices and steps to take if they are victimized.
