Jennifer Lyn Jackson and Ross Winfield Cannon were married Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the First Christian Church of Macon. The Rev. Richard E. Lanning officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Sammy M. Jackson of Peachtree City and Ms. Linda H. Jackson of Newnan. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy Jackson and the late Billy P. Jackson of Macon, and Mrs. Nancy Fay Andrews and the late Luther Herndon also of Macon. She is a 2002 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. She is currently employed by Wildlands, Inc. of Lawrenceville.
The groom is the son of Ms. Carol K. Cannon of Griffin and Dewey W. Cannon of Blakely. He is the grandson of Mrs. Helen Kinney of Griffin and the late Hubert D. Kinney of Jefferson, and Mrs. Lois Cannon and the late Joe A. Cannon of Blakely. He is a 2002 graduate of Milton High School and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. He is currently employed by Mauldin and Jenkins CPAs, LLC, of Atlanta.
Mrs. Elizabeth Amy Argo Muskus of Huntsville, Ala. and Mrs. Hillary Hayslip Page, cousin of the bride, of Savannah, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Merry Courtney Cannon, cousin of the groom, of Cordele; Mrs. Nichole Hair Brown, cousin of the bride, of Marietta; Kristin N. Giteles of Bluffton, S.C.; and Katherine E. Powell of Atlanta.
Dewey W. Cannon, the groom’s father, served as the best man. Groomsmen were William Chase Cannon, cousin of the groom, of Blakely; Stephen D. Harrell of Leesburg; Capt. John K. Schippert of Dana Point, Calif.; Warren A. Tyler of Hampton; and Justin L. Walker of Atlanta. Ushers were Jeffery Bryce Cannon, cousin of the groom, of Blakely, and John L. Stover Jr., cousin of the groom, of Griffin.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Blacksmith Shop of Macon.
The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and now reside in Vinings.
