There has been a change in the starting time for Fayette County high schools. Beginning Monday, Aug. 23 the school day will begin at 8:40 a.m., the same as last year. The end time remains at 3:20 p.m.
School system spokesperson Melinda Berry-Dreisabch Wednesday said high school students will no longer arrive at school 15 minutes early effective Monday, August 23.
This change will not require any adjustments to the bus schedule. Buses will arrive at stops at the same time that was set at the beginning of the school year, Berry-Dreisbach said.
Students are being notified of this change by daily morning announcements made by the principal and messages posted on each school’s marquee. Parents are also being informed through Infinite Campus messages, said Berry-Dreisbach.
