Ada Lee Little McDonald of Peachtree City, age 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010 at her home in Peachtree City. Ada was born in Atlanta on July 8, 1928. She was the daughter of the late John Callaway Little and Minnie Ellan Little of Atlanta. She retired from Wal-Mart in Fayetteville, Ga., and worked part-time after her retirement for many years at Publix Supermarket in Peachtree City, Ga. Mrs. McDonald was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to many.
Mrs. McDonald enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cooking, and gardening. During her retirement years, she became an enthusiastic traveler enjoying many cruises to various places.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leonard McDonald, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Elisabeth Mildred Chappell, 89, of Newnan; her 6 children: Dr. James Lanier (Jim) Waller, 62, of Athens; Mrs. Mildred Ellen Twilley, 60, of Newnan; Mr. John Milton Freeman, Jr., 57, of Hogansville; Mrs. Melody Jean Freeman Dotson, 49, of Peachtree City; Mrs. Paula Rae McDonald Bailey, 47, of Gay; Mr. Paul Leonard McDonald, Jr., 44, of Newnan; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The Memorial Service will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 135 Robinson Drive, Fayetteville, Ga., 30215 on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 5:00 PM, with Dr. Jim Waller and Rev. Walt Weister officiating. The family will receive friends prior to and after the service at the church.
