Fayette County School Superintendent John DeCotis (2nd from left, holding plaque) was honored last week by members of the Fayette County Branch of the NAACP. Chapter President John Jones (to the right of DeCotis) in his tribute to DeCotis noted his years of dedicated service to the Fayette County students and the community. “We are thankful and proud to have had this man, and for his work and support of the NAACP. His tolerance and inclusion is legendary,” Jones said. DeCotis retires at the end of this month. Photo/Ben Nelms.
