Mr. and Mrs. David L. Brinson of Newnan announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Laine Brinson, to Joseph Henry Philpott, son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Philpott of Conyers.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and 2004 graduate of Georgia State University where she earned a bachelor of music education degree. In 2006 she began teaching elementary and middle school band in Fayette County. She also is an active freelance bassoonist performing and teaching in the Atlanta area.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Heritage High School in Conyers. In 2000 he earned a bachelor of music performance degree on clarinet from Northwestern University. In 2004 he also earned a master’s degree in performance from The University of Georgia. He currently is a freelance clarinetist in the Atlanta area where he teaches and performs. Additionally he is the clarinet professor at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.
The wedding will be July 17, 2010, at New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
Following a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Sharpsburg.
