John M. Barrett, former councilman and vice mayor of Peachtree City, and a member of the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club, passed away April 22, 2010 in Covington, Ga. at the age of 98.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Louise of 67 years, daughter, Nancy Lee in July of 1949 and grandson, Robert John Barrett, December 7, 1967.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Margaret) Barrett of Covington;gGrandson, William (Holly) Barrett of Knoxville, Tenn.; granddaughter Heather Barrett (Carey) Crane of Las Cruces, N.M.;
and two great grandsons, Ryan and Aidan Barrett of Knoxville, Tenn.
Mr. Barrett will be cremated and a graveside service conducted at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, June 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Benevolent Endowment Foundation of the Ohio Masonic Home, Five Masonic Drive, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
