Mr. and Mrs. George R. Boyd III of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Meagan Ruth Boyd, to Kevin Dorsey Dickerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Dickerson of Grand Prairie, Texas and the Rev. David G. Blile of Jonesboro.
The bride-to-be is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Boyd Jr. of Atlanta and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Dickerson Jr. of Sharpsburg. She is a 2006 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2010 graduate of Clayton State University where she graduated magna cum laude earning a bachelor of arts degree in education with concentrations in science and math.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Dickerson of Elberton and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dorsey Griffis of Jonesboro and the late Linda Edwards Dickerson. He is a 2007 graduate of Jonesboro High School and a 2009 graduate of AIM-Aviation Institute of Maintenance where he graduated with an aviation maintenance technician certificate airframe and powerplant license. He is currently employed by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 26, 2010, at New Hope-South location in Senoia. A reception will follow at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. The couple will reside in Savannah.
