Peachtree City UPDATES for March 29

Hopefully, most folks have seen the notice about the Wisdom Road project getting underway today.

It will reduce the roadway to one lane for most of the 45-day project, but the road will only be completely closed during Spring Break, April 3 – 11.

We’ve also got some follow-up work on last week’s sanitary sewer spill, which will close the parking lot at Picnic Park/All Children’s Playground on Tuesday, March 30. Park visitors can use the lot behind City Hall and the Library and cross the bridge to access the park.

“Staycationers” take note – for the first time, the Kedron pools will be open during spring break. In previous years, the two-week bubble removal and maintenance was scheduled during this time, but it will wrap up this weekend and the pools will be open next Monday.

Staff is working to improve web site navigation at www.peachtree-city.org. There is a new “I Want To…” link from the main page that provides quick links to some of the most requested information. The initial list was composed from the most searched terms, and includes links to information on burn permits, the Library, yard sales, the Dog Park, paying traffic tickets, softball, jobs, recycling, business licenses, and summer camps. Please let me know if there is information you are having trouble finding on our website.

And last but not least, Peachtree City would like to thank the First Presbyterian Church volunteers who held a cleanup and improvement project day at local parks on March 20. Volunteers worked at Glenloch, Meade Fields, the Baseball Soccer Complex, and the All Children’s Playground. Thank you to all who gave of your time and talents – your service to the community is appreciated!

Thanks,
Betsy
