Pasta is not the first thing that comes to mind in giving back to the community. Friday, Mar. 19, pasta will be on the charity agenda and menu. Along with salad, rolls, homemade sauce and desserts, the Kiwanis of McIntosh Trail along with the Booth Middle School Builders Club is hosting an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4:30-8 p.m.

Held in the Booth Middle School cafeteria at 250 Peachtree Parkway South in Peachtree City, the Annual Spaghetti Supper will benefit children’s charities across Fayette County and the globe.

Recent Kiwanis contributions have been made to the county department of Family and Children’s Services, Fayette Holiday Helpers, Wellspring Living, blind children’s education in Afghanistan, and more.

“Our Kiwanis member, Phil Boswell of Piedmont-Glover Insurance, has a secret sauce recipe,” said realtor Kay McInroe, Kiwanis chapter president. “We feel this is a great way to have an inexpensive night out, and do something good for the community.”

McInroe helped found the Builders chapter at Booth. “These are middle school students who want to make a difference. They’re learning to work together for a good cause at young age. I hope that the community will come out to support them.”

For advance tickets call Kay McInroe at 678-570-0717. In advance or at the door $7 each. Children under 5 years are free, and to-go trays are available.
Kiwanis of McIntosh Trail meets each Tuesday at noon for lunch at Towne Club in Peachtree City, on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Crosstown.

Kiwanis is an international non-profit actively assisting the causes of children locally and around the world. Those interested in fundraising and learning about opportunities to volunteer are welcome to visit.
