Mr. R. Joel Babb of Griffin and Ms. Regina Babb of Jonesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Carol Babb, to James Robert Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Stevens of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.L. May Jr., of Jonesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Babb, Sr. of Riverdale. She is a graduate of Mercer University’s Eugene Stetson School of Business where she earned a bachelor’s degree in international marketing with a second major in Spanish, and The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where she earned a master’s degree in marketing research. She is currently employed by The Brandware Group, Inc., in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Sadie Pickett and the late Frances Pickett of Edison, N.J., and Mrs. Lou Stevens and the late Charles Stevens of Barboursville, W,Va. He is a graduate of Valdosta State University’s James L. and Dorothy Dewar College of Education where he earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in social studies. He is currently employed as a teacher for Henry County schools.
The wedding will be Feb. 5, 2011 in Morrow. Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
