Melvin Douglas Morrow

Melvin Douglas Morrow, Newnan, died Jan. 12. 2010. He was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Junction City, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Morrow. He was graduated from the Coweta County school system. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War era. He had been a member of the Summer Hill Baptist Church, and was a deacon at the South Ashburn Holiness Church, Ashburn, Ga.

Services were at the Message of Truth Ministries with interment at Eastview Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include his mother, Mattie Dunnum Williams; children, Angela and Kenneth Harris, Kevin and Shontel Morrow, Brenda Morrow, Melanie Morrow, and Elreco and Roxanne Morrow, all of Ashburn; five siblings; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
