A meeting to discuss the American Clean Energy and Security Act (House Resolution 2454), commonly referred to as the “Cap & Trade Bill,” will be held Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Gathering Place in Peachtree City located at 203 McIntosh Trail.
The public is invited to hear Ga. Sen. Mitch Seabaugh, Ga. Rep. Matt Ramsey and Michael Whiteside, retired President/CEO of Coweta-Fayette EMC. All interested residents from Fayette, Coweta and surrounding counties are welcome to this free admission event.
The public will learn about the proposed Cap & Trade legislation currently before Congress. The speakers will discuss the economic impact this legislation will have on every American business, the large number of job losses that will occur and the increases every American family will see in their annual energy costs. A question and answer session will follow the panel presentations.
