What an exciting night last night! Our second year as Region champs! Next week we host Loganville and our next step towards the goal of the GA Dome! I hope we will get the respect rightfully deserved in the reporting of our next game. We should get a little more attention don't you think. The Patriots have to prove themselves a little bit harder than anyone else here in Fayette. Maybe after 2 straight years of being Region champs will help. I certainly hope so and believe other residents will appreciate it as well.

do you ever read the articles before you post? Pick-up the AJC, watch the sports reports on TV or read it online, SC gets a lot of football coverage and rightly so.I already appreciate how good the Creek, since papa Walker was there.
Get a grip!

"Patriots win second straight region title,Panthers also playoff bound"

To which you say: "I hope we will get the respect rightfully deserved in the reporting of our next game. We should get a little more attention don't you think. The Patriots have to prove themselves a little bit harder than anyone else here in Fayette." Really??

Are you reading the same sports and news reports I am? I think if you were the "and oh, by the way, the Panthers made it too" crowd I would understand your feeling less than respected.

What do you want the paper to do other than make you the headline?

Congrats to all the local football teams for an exciting year.

Your county will be well represented in the State Playoffs yet again by Sandy Creek and Starr's Mill. I was receiving score updates last night and Starr's Mill dismantled Villa Ricca. Sandy Creek defeated a tenacious, determined and talented Banneker and appeared to be in control the entire game.

Fayette, Whitewater and McIntosh provided all of us with exciting high school football this year. Fayette showed flashes of great potential this year, McIntosh put a solid year together and Whitewater had a winning season.

The bands all played well after many many hours of hard work and the cheerleaders kept us excited and optimistic.

Many thanks and best wishes to all of the coaches, band leaders, and the young men and women who played their hearts out this season and best wishes to those still playing.

It's time to look toward basketball for most of us, but meanwhile, let's all get behind your two playoff bound football teams.

Go Pats, Go Panthers!
