SUMMARY:A Grand Old Flag
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, June 8 – 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fayette Senior Services (FSS) – Fayetteville location at The Life Enrichment Center\, 4 Center Drive: Patriotism is more than a symbol\, it is a story woven through history\, sacrifice\, and shared ideals. The American flag tells a story of unity\, sacrifice\, and enduring ideals that continues to shape the nation today. Audrey Fowler\, Auxiliary Life Member with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9949 and retired educator\, brings that story to life through a thoughtful and fascinating reading of the Constitution and an exploration of the flag’s rich history. She’ll highlight the evolution of the American flag and the meaning behind its many versions\, alongside the traditions that honor it. Timed with the spirit of Flag Day and the 4th of July\, the program offers a deeper connection to the values and history that define American identity. Blending reflection\, heritage\, and civic pride\, it invites a renewed appreciation for what the flag represents. This program is FREE but pre-registration is required. Call 770-461-0813 or email register@fayss.org (include name\, phone number and event title) to register. FSS members and non-members welcome. www.Fayss.org.
