Support Scouting and first responders at Chicken-Que
September 21 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Hundreds of United Methodist Men and Scouts will be dishing up a delicious dinner benefiting the Peachtree City United Methodist Church Scout Lodge on September 21. The annual event features a 60-foot long grill ready to cook-to-perfection more than 2,000 chicken halves for the event. Coleslaw, baked beans and bread complete the meal, which is bargain priced at only $9.00.
Once again this year, the UMM will be providing free meals to the first responders on duty September 21. Those purchasing an extra ticket will help cover the cost of a meal for a police officer or firefighter.
The Chicken-Que is a take-out only event with the drive-through pick-up between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Pick-up is on the church campus at 225 Robinson Road.
Proceeds from the Chicken-Que go to support the development and ongoing capital improvements of Scout Lodge. The lodge is home to scouting units from the Boy Scouts Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Those who want to support the Scout Lodge but cannot make it to the chicken pick-up can donate the purchase of their ticket to provide a meal for a first responder in Peachtree City. Tickets are available now online at https://ptcumc.org/events/chickenque/.
