Starr’s Mill Chorus to honor veterans Oct. 2
October 2 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Starr’s Mill High School Choral Department, under the direction of Dr. John Odom, will be presenting “Find the Cost of Freedom,” a choral concert honoring and remembering those who have served and are serving in our military. The concert is October 2 at 7 p.m. in the Starr’s Mill High School Duke auditorium. The program will be honoring local veterans and family members of choral students who have served from World War I to the present. Special recognition will be given to those veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Iraq and Afghanistan who will be in attendance at the concert. The 140 voice choir will be presenting songs that honor our veterans and remember those who have paid the ultimate price in defending our freedom.
If you know of any veteran in our area, please contact Dr. Odom at firstname.lastname@example.org with email or USPS contact information on that veteran. Identified veterans will be sent a special invitation to attend and be honored at the concert.
The concert is free to the public and Dr. Odom encourages our community to come out and honor these who have given so much in protecting our freedom. For more information, contact email@example.com”
