A Fayetteville man has been charged with aggravated sexual battery in connection with a 2017 incident at a Peachtree City massage therapy location. Police believe there was only one victim involved.

Mucahit Turan, 35, was charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Matt Myers said the incident reportedly occurred in September 2017, with the inappropriate, unsolicited contact subsequently reported by the victim.

Myers noted that Turan discontinued working at the business and did participate in an initial interview, adding, “He didn’t give up much.”

Myers said Turan then hired an attorney and soon left the country.

Investigators attempted to interview Turan again once they found he had returned, though that attempt was unsuccessful, said Myers.

Investigators received only one report and believe there were no other victims involved, Myers added. — BEN NELMS
