A life well-lived and a woman greatly loved defines Alice Grace Harris Conley who passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

One of six children, Alice grew up in Atlanta and knew and loved the city all of her life. In 1953, after a five-year courtship, Alice married the love of her life, William Glenn Conley. They were blessed with three children: David Mark, Carolyn Elizabeth, and Sally Anne.

In her 87 years, Alice was known for her laughter, strength, kindness, and sense of fun. She could be counted on to quote Bobby McFarrin, saying, “Don’t worry, be happy!” or just as often quip, “See you in the funnies!” Her spirit and laughter will be a part of all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband and son, Alice is survived by her daughters, Carolyn and Sally; beloved sister, Frances Atkinson; grandsons, James Mallachai Carmichael Simons and William Cade Simons; son-in-law, Jim and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Griffin, Ga., at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015. A celebration party will follow.
