Organizers have announced the unveiling this spring of Team Peachtree City MOBA, part of what they have billed “the highest level of amateur soccer nationwide.”

The team will be housed at a newly-built facility called MOBA Soccer Academy. Officials said the complex will include state-of-the-art locker rooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, a fully-equipped weight training facility and two regulation fields with seating for up to 1,000 fans.

The two FIFA-sized fields with artificial turf will allow competitive play “in inclement weather with low risk for injury,” according to a statement.

Peachtree City MOBA will operate in affiliation with the Premier Development League, an organization operated by the United Soccer League and which officials said ranks just one step below Major League Soccer (MLS).

“The MOBA Soccer Academy has been designed and developed to nurture an expert level of technical excellence in the game of soccer,” said Volker Harms, owner of the Academy and the team. “The Peachtree City MOBA team represents a high-level of play while having an independently run facility to call their ‘home.’”

Fourteen games have been scheduled for Peachtree City MOBA this season, seven of which will be played at home.
